Agata Bieleń is a raw contemporary jewelry brand representing statement pieces that are easily recognized by subtle geometrical lines and lightweight elegance. The main inspiration for her work is a straight line – the basic unit of geometry, length without extension, straight stretched between two points. Formed in space turns into an object.
Agata Bieleń graduated from Fine Academy of Fine Arts at the Faculty of Architecture and Design in Poznań, Poland in 2013. First jewelry pieces were created in 2011 as a school project at the design lab of FAFA. In a short period of time after graduation, her first collection has resulted in debut exhibition at well-known Yes Gallery.
In March 2013, Agata Bieleń was nominated for Hush Selected award and selected by Elle magazine among 20 most promising people of Polish fashion by 20-year-olds generation. In December 2015 designer was awarded an Oscar Design nomination by Design Alive in the creator category „for finding beauty and nobility in simplicity”.
Simple is beautiful and less is more – this is the concept behind the brand Agata Bieleń
Since 2011 Agata Bieleń has released several collections of jewelry exploring this main motive – the line – broken, bent and bonded in space creating three-dimensional forms. She creates small sculptures that live in close proximity to the body. Their usability is a priority. The forms are light, delicate, and despite the strong geometrical shapes – comfortable and functional, with clear and raw simplicity.
Each form is handcrafted of stainless steel, silver or gold with the utmost attention towards detail following the idea that simple is beautiful and less is more.
